The Canadian Association of Omega 3 Manufacturers (CAO3M) established in 2005, represents those manufacturers of Canadian made omega 3 marine based products, who, through membership, adhere to a strong code of ethics and to an agreed set of product standards.
CAO3M's Mission is:
- to provide a specific level of education and product confidence regarding marine-based long chain omega 3 to the public, to health care providers, to appropriate government departments, to the media and to other essential agencies;
- to improve the marketing environment in foreign countries for its member companies;
- to ensure that only Canadian manufactured marine based omega 3 products that meet the highest standards for quality, freshness and purity carry the Association's logo.
- to ensure that people worldwide have the same access as Canadians to marine-based omega 3 natural health products that are safe, effective and of high quality.
